For our team in Bucharest, we are looking for a

Overall Purpose:

  • OMC Engineer is responsible with 2G/3G/4G/5G data-build, site create/build parameter changes and neighbors provisioning.

Key Accountabilities:

Delivery Excellence:

  • Required expertise refers mainly on being proficient on Nokia and Ericson radio kit and ability to understand the functionality, configuration and procedure to configure, maintain and modify the radio BTSs specific to different technologies;
  • Working on 2G, 3G, 4G sites including decommissioning & capacity expansions;
  • Implementing frequency retune plans, neighbor optimization, transmission upgrades/reconfigurations. Working with Magnet IPD, Nokia NetAct, Top Level, DX 200, MML, Nokia and Ericsson specific OSS tools to configure and maintain network cell sites;
  • Transport configuration to cell sites creation, deletion, modify traffic shaping; Commission and integrate IP based cell sites;
  • Ability to configure and apply bespoke configurations in line with high demands on capacity – Special events sites LAC/RAC/SAC changes and reconfigurations;
  • Activities related to MW links data build, upgrades and reconfigurations; Perform MW SW upgrades on U2000 platform

Quality Assurance:

  • Functions as per QMS (quality management system) procedures; Performs Quality Control processes in accordance with set guideline; Ensures quality targets laid out are met for the processes owned;

  • The authority is a consequence of the nature of the job and of the tasks established or delegated by the department manager.

Organization Structure and Job Description Required Competencies:

  • BA/BSc degree in Engineering or Computer Science;
  • 1 to 3 years of experience within a RAN/BSS network deployment / support environment as well as an understanding of all key elements that make up a mobile network;
  • Detailed knowledge of Netact and Ericsson ENM tools; Strong knowledge of Netact and Ericsson ENM OSS tools;
  • Strong knowledge of Remedy Application – Change Management and Incident modules; Able to communicate in English Language both verbally and written Level A
