We are is looking for a motivated Voice Core Planner, based in our services and operations centre in Romania

Main tasks:

  • The Voice Core Planner will work within a team to produce plans across the following function:

Voice Core

  • Support monthly review of core statistics for Core and Interconnect
  • To produce detailed plans to support Core Voice Platforms
  • To support the production of traffic migration plans.
  • To produce detailed plans to support New Services.
  • Collect data from network relating to Core Voice demands for analysis.
  • Liaise with other network domains such as Transmission, Project Management Office & Network Data build.
  • Support Core Voice Case Fault Inbox/cases.
  • Support Testbed Design work needed for new platforms and services
  • Use Statistical Tools such as Mycom to extract reports and review key KPI’s for the network.
  • High Level Designs for SIP Interconnects
  • Detailed Core Designs
  • MBC, MSCS, MGW/BGF/MP, IPW/Secure64, SBG
  • Recovery of legacy elements
  • Services and new core elements

Required competencies:

Essential knowledge/skills:

  • Proven knowledge of Ericsson Switching platforms (MSC, MBC) using Command handling/ WinFiol
  • Excellent working knowledge of Ericsson MGW Platform (V3, V4)
  • Working knowledge of Ericsson HLR & HSS (MAP, SCCP GT)
  • Good Working knowledge on SBG, IP works/DNS, IMS Core Nodes
  • Excellent working knowledge of Signalling systems and planning with TDM, IP signaling
  • Excellent working knowledge of Signalling protocols SIP, ISUP, MAP
  • Good understanding of IN call flows SSF <> SCF (CAMEL, INAP)
  • Good understanding of analysing PCAP traces in WireShark (SIP, ISUP, INAP, CAMEL)
  • Good working knowledge of ELEX Ericsson database
  • Good understanding of IP networks
  • Working knowledge of MAGNET (Customer allocation database) Desirable
  • Working knowledge of Performance platforms such as Proptima (MYCOM) to understand reports, counters, metrics
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to perform job functions when under pressure and delivering to tight deadlines
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous with demanding/difficult customers and/or situations
  • Ability to provide concise and clear, written and verbal reports
  • Ability to work independently
  • Fluent communication in English

Essential experience:

  • 5-10 years’ minimum experience of working in the Telecoms industry.
  • Experience of producing and delivering customer presentations
  • Proven ability to interact with diverse customers in a multi-cultural environment

Essential qualification(s):

  • Diploma, degree or above in a relevant discipline.
