The support model we have successfully implemented is a full Network Operations Centre

Early in 2019 Connect44 were awarded the scope to support the proposed network swap of 3UK 4G radio access network of 12,000 sites from Samsung to Huawei equipment. The support model we have successfully implemented is a full Network Operations Centre with 24x7x365 monitoring and associated Service Assurance across multiple areas of the swap and rollout. The service is designed to be integrated into the swap team function, taking the sites on the day of the equipment change, bringing into service, owning the sites through stability and post performance monitoring prior transfer to operations and the ongoing responsibility of our NOC team for monitoring.

The Service Assurance support providing the required Incident, change and problem management allow for end to end visibility of the swap process to ensure all external work packages have a single point of contact to oversea the successful swap of the 3UK network. As expected, the operational support comes with all expected KPI/SLA’s required to ensure the integrity and performance of the network are maintained within the expected high levels of operability and, to date, Connect44 have recorded 12 consecutive months of exceeded targets, no service breaches or remedies and continue to support in external areas of automation, service assurance toolset rollout, integration, transmission support and Tibco platform planning and design. Our support has now been extended to cover the recently announced intention to integrate 5000 new 5G capable sites over the next 12 months and beyond.

Connect44 have been supporting the Radio Network planning and associated Network Performance Optimisation service into Huawei for over 5 years and, in Decemebr2019, were awarded the continued enhanced framework agreement to support the following 3 years. The project requires all 2G to 5G design, planning, volumetric and coverage planning of the Huawei estate in the Vodafone, EE and more recently Three UK networks. This involves over 80 muliti-skilled and highly flexible specialist engineers across all areas of the mobile domains to support the varying demands of each operator from technology upgrades, carrier and frequency refarming, the UK Emergency Services Network rollout and the recently announced 5G rollout of Three UK.
