Role Purpose
As an Initial Cell Optimiser (ICO), you will play a critical role in supporting the customer’s six-week delivery and decommissioning cycle for cell sites. You will be responsible for the accurate creation and management of radio plans across multiple technologies and vendors, ensuring seamless integration and removal of cells within the network.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Create detailed radio data builds for sites progressing through the customer’s structured six-week delivery process.

Perform data build tasks within the customer's radio planning systems for Nokia and Ericsson vendor equipment.

Generate unique radio build plans per site and per technology, progressing through planning, preparation, validation, and final build stages.

Submit completed data builds to vendor partners for conversion into integration scripts used by field engineers during installations.

Design and deliver accurate decommissioning data builds, ensuring the safe and precise removal of network elements.

Coordinate closely with vendor teams to distribute build scripts and manage execution on the live network.

Monitor integration progress, addressing stakeholder queries (e.g. alarms, build types) and initiating rebuilds where necessary.

Provide weekly reporting on delivery status across all projects, highlighting risks, issues, and dependencies to the regional ICO Manager.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project timelines and quality standards.
Essential Skills & Experience

Proven expertise in radio planning tools, with strong emphasis on data build creation in a telecom environment.

Hands-on experience with radio parameter configuration for Nokia and Ericsson equipment.

Deep understanding of radio architecture and network topology to ensure integrity of new integrations and safe removal of decommissioned elements.

Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and quality assurance.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and documentation.

Degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) preferred.
